Job description:
As a Senior Business Development Manager (m/f/d), you will work at the interface between sales, delivery and product development and jointly expand both existing and new customer business. You will recognize the potential of digital solutions for the core business of your reinsurance clients and independently develop strategic business development and individual client development plans. You will be responsible for the market analysis, planning, management and implementation of the individual acquisition process, from customer presentation and proposal preparation to the independent negotiation of contract conclusions. You have sales responsibility for your portfolio of topics, which is measured by the resulting sales success. 
In summary, your tasks and responsibilities are: 
Active market development of new digital trends in reinsurance such as data analytics in underwriting, risk and claims management, retrocession or the use of AI solutions in CRM Identification and further development of the company's competitively differentiated and innovative service and solution offerings Actively supporting managers and account managers in professionally approaching reinsurance customers Supporting the project teams in complex tendering and bidding processes Continuous further development of our client's image and awareness in the reinsurance industry, e.g. via social media, industry-specific interest groups, congresses or trade fairs Maintaining and expanding existing business relationships with clients Maintaining existing contacts with technology and solution partners, identifying new innovative partner solutions for digital challenges in reinsurance and developing new business areas In order to ensure successful business development, flexibility and mobility are required, as you will generally be working directly with clients for 2--3 days. Therefore, you should also be willing to travel, mainly within Germany.

Qualifications: 
Degree in engineering, computer science, business informatics, economics or a comparable qualification Knowledge In-depth knowledge of the reinsurance market Sound knowledge of the core processes of a reinsurance company Good knowledge of expanding existing customers and acquiring new customers IT affinity, ideally knowledge of modern and flexible IT architectures and -> analysis and development of application software in reinsurance companies. 
Experience: 
Sales strength through several years of proven professional experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive or a comparable position in pre sales In-depth experience in successfully working the reinsurance market Strong sense for the opportunities and challenges of current digital topics in reinsurance such as AI, predictive analytics, cloud, customer centricity or sustainability Ability to structure and visualize customer-specific requirements in order to map them to our client's range of services Robust network of decision-makers in the reinsurance industry and valuable contacts with selected clients and/or industry-relevant organizations Professional communication and contact skills, as well as strategic competence Confidence in dealing with discussion partners at decision-making level and enjoying networking High degree of independence, seniority and goal orientation in dealing with complex challenges Analytical thinking, assertiveness and organizational talent Experience in the business of an IT service provider.
